Rosalia
Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia (Spanish to mean "Rosalia") is an Spanish singer and songwriter from Spain. She is a Flamenco and Pop artist. Since she was a teenager, she has been at the edges of both classical and pop music. She also is a pioneer in the realms of hip-hop, soul and trap. Flamenco guitarist Pepe habichuela described her voice as delicate and sharp, yet featuring the sharpness of older singers. El Mal Querer is her 2nd album, which was released in 2018, which has been a commercial and critical success. After Los Angeles, her debut album released in 2017, she received a Latin Grammy for Best New Artist as well as an Latin Grammy nod. La Fama was released by the Weeknd in 2021. Motomami, her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. The album was released in the month of March 2022, following a performance of the song Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia performed solo for the first time on the program. The Rosalia of Motomami, who took home the Latin Album of the Year as well as three Latin Grammy Awards in total for Motomami also became the very first woman to do so.
